Blood Orange Baked BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 rack of baby back ribs
  • ¼ cup yellow mustard 
  • ¼ cup whole grain mustard 
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

BBQ Sauce:

  • 1 cup Natalie’s Blood Orange Juice
  • 1 cup ketchup (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • ¼ cup worcestershire sauce 
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Remove the membrane from the ribs. 
  3. In a small bowl combine the mustards and in another small bowl combine the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. 
  4. Brush both sides of the ribs with the mustard mixture then season with the spice mixture. 
  5. Wrap ribs in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 2 hours.
  6. Meanwhile, in a saucepan combine blood orange juice, ketchup, worcestershire sauce salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. 
  7. Whisk and cook over medium high heat until bubbling then reduce the heat to medium low. Allow to cook for 10 minutes then remove from the heat. 
  8. After 2 hours (or when the ribs reach an internal temperature of 200 degrees) unwrap ribs, brush with sauce, and broil for 5-7 minutes until caramelized. Serve extra sauce on the side.
