Blood Orange Baked BBQ Ribs
Ingredients
- 1 rack of baby back ribs
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- ¼ cup whole grain mustard
- 1.5 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup Natalie’s Blood Orange Juice
- 1 cup ketchup (your favorite brand or homemade)
- ¼ cup worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Remove the membrane from the ribs.
- In a small bowl combine the mustards and in another small bowl combine the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Brush both sides of the ribs with the mustard mixture then season with the spice mixture.
- Wrap ribs in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 2 hours.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan combine blood orange juice, ketchup, worcestershire sauce salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Whisk and cook over medium high heat until bubbling then reduce the heat to medium low. Allow to cook for 10 minutes then remove from the heat.
- After 2 hours (or when the ribs reach an internal temperature of 200 degrees) unwrap ribs, brush with sauce, and broil for 5-7 minutes until caramelized. Serve extra sauce on the side.
