Zesty Orange Green Beans

Ingredients
Serves 4
- 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil for dairy-free)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup Natalie's Orange Juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Sliced almonds for topping
- Zest of 1 orange for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a shallow pot of water to a boil then cook the green beans for 3-5 minutes.
- Drain the green beans and add to a large bowl filled with water and ice to stop the cooking process.
- In the same shallow pot or large skillet melt the butter over medium high heat then stir in garlic, orange juice, dijon mustard, honey, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme. Whisk to combine and continue cooking for about 5 minutes.
- Drain the green beans from the ice bath and add back into the skillet with the sauce and stir to coat the green beans.
- Plate on a serving platter and top with fresh parsley, sliced almonds, and the zest of 1 orange.
